Abstract
The study examined the determinants of brand loyalty in soft drinks consumers in Edo and Delta state of Nigeria. Specifically, the study examined the effect of product quality, product promotion, product price on brand loyalty among soft drink consumers in Asaba and Benin City.
A survey research design was used in the study. A total of 400 questionnaires were administered. Only 364 questionnaires were returned and found usable, amounting to 91%. Statistical tools including simple percentage, mean, Pearson correlation, and ordinary least square (OLS) were employed for data analysis through the use of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Econometric View softwares.
Findings from the study revealed that product quality, product price and customer satisfaction have significant relationship with brand loyalty while product promotion does not have significant relationship contrary to expectation. It is also recommended that future studies should focus on the determinants of brand loyalty to alcoholic drinks.
